Movistar reached an agreement with Disney to take exclusive rights to Star Wars-related content, movies and in-house produced programs.
Movistar’s objective was to reinforce the positioning of Movistar+ as an entertainment platform and to present the most anticipated movie premiere of the year, “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”, along with the Spanish National Soccer Team.
“The Force is what gives the Jedi their power, it is a field of energy created by all living things, it surrounds us, penetrates us and holds the galaxy together,” Obi-Wan Kenobi told Luke Skywalker. Yes, the Force is powerful, but there is a dark underside, a Dark Side to which we can all succumb. And you, “whose side are you on?”.
This is the question we asked ourselves at Peanuts&Monkeys in the campaign we designed for Movistar. The campaign sought to bring together the action, emotion and spectacularity of the best sport and the best cinema, in a story that, as in the best movies, had a surprising ending.
