Peanuts&Monkeys launches together with Fundación Secretariado Gitano #GitanasEnEstereo, a movement for the equality of gypsy women.
#GitanasEnEstereo is the name of the campaign created by Peanuts&Monkeys, together with the Fundación Secretariado Gitano, with the aim of breaking down stereotypes and claiming equal opportunities for Roma women.
The idea behind this campaign is materialized in the form of a video clip. #GitanasEnEstereo thus becomes the first video clip that vindicates the diversity of gypsy women and seeks to raise public awareness to promote equal opportunities for them. In addition, an ad hoc song was created, which serves as a common thread in the video clip.
The campaign featured 5 gypsy women who break stereotypes. Two other young gypsy women, Marina Carmona and Soleá Morente, are in charge of giving them a voice.
It was presented on June 7 exclusively at the Círculo de Bellas Artes and on social media. In addition to the video clip and the song, #GitanasEnEstereo is an integrated campaign consisting of a recruitment website (www.gitanasenestereo.com), testimonials from the 5 protagonists, videos of celebrities supporting the cause, graphics for press, dynamics for RRSS and a radio spot.
For more than 35 years, the Foundation has been developing projects aimed at access to employment, education, the fight against discrimination and equal opportunities for gypsy women. A particularly vulnerable group that is gradually becoming a driving force for change.
